36,000 IRS Government Employees Recalled – Really?

Recalling Employees and Then Not Paying Them

blogEntryTopper
36,000 IRS employees have been recalled from the shutdown neverland. The first problem is they won’t be paid. I have to ask why were they let go to begin with. Did the brain surgeon in chief not know that tax season was upon us? I guess not since he doesn’t pay taxes.

Those 36,000 employees have gotten other work to pay necessary bills and if they come back to work they will have to give that work up. So they still can’t pay bills. Then to go to work, they have to pay for lunch or food for lunch and they some sort of transportation bill. They may also have to pay for daycare. So they may be really in the hole.

They have to stand up as a group and say, HELL NO WE WON’T GO! It worked for Viet Nam and it will work here. It will not work if a few people say it because they will fire your ass. No one should go back. It is simple economics – you are going to be worse off if you go back. And frankly, they can’t fire or replace 36,000 people. Who would do it – they have been furloughed or out-of-work? And hire 36,000 people and tell them, “Oh, by the way, you won’t get paid for a while and no one will be able to train you because they don’t work.”

What about this is OK? Hell No We Won’t Go!

Special Opportunity:

The Albuquerque VA is looking for some authors to volunteer as local judges for the 2019 National Veterans Creative Arts Competition. The size of each entry is no more than 850 words except in one category where the maximum size is 1,000 words. My guess is entries will be ready in about a month and I suspect each judge will have a few weeks to review. If you can spare some time to help recognize veterans who use writing as a means to treat their diagnoses, feel free to email Jim Tritten at jimtritten@comcast.net. Thanks in advance.
