Five Really Important Events

Freedom of Speech is so important in this day of government-sponsored fake news and alternate facts to read.

National Reading Group Month – October
Freedom of Speech Week – Third Week in October
Fun Read Week – October 16-22
National Dictionary Day – October 16
Black Poetry Day – October 17

It is so important in this day of fake news and alternate facts to read. It is also important to have freedom of speech. It is well documented that you can’t yell fire in a crowded movie theater or now yell bomb anywhere. But there are people, actually the President, who say you don’t have freedom of speech unless you agree with him. Freedom of speech is saying, whatever. If no one agrees with it that is OK.

A well-rounded and smart person uses dictionaries and reads. Poetry is good for the soul. This past weekend, an online site said Morgan Freeman was dead. You have to know enough to not believe and check it out yourself. Morgan Freeman is alive and kicking. Sift through the alternate facts and get the true ones. READ to find the correct information.

In this day of cell phones we still need to read. Put down the cell phone and pick up a book.
