The Disgusting Food Museum

I saw a story on TV and had to get into this because I love it!

The Museum is just over the bridge from Copenhagen, Sweden. Disgusting is in the mind of each person. Disgusting can be unfamiliar foods or rotten foods. In the US, we are not familiar with a lot of foods from other parts of the world and to us, it would be disgusting. Some kids think every food is disgusting!

Right now, featured foods include:
Guinea pig from Peru, bean curd from China, Durian Fruit from Thailand (it makes everyone’s list because it is sticky!), aged shark from Iceland, and maggot-infested cheese from Sardinia. Sound yummy? Some are delicacies in their native countries. You can also try samples of some of the foods and smell them!

They also have “Taste One For the Team.” This is for six or more people who have a private taste event for businesses or family/friends.

It made me think of other potential museums: Bad Taste Fashion, Ugly Art, Hairdos That Don’t Make It, and Horrible Shoes. It is nice to celebrate the different side of things.
