I’M SAD ABOUT SEARS

It is very sad to hear the news from SEARS!

I remember when the Sears’ Wishbook came, right about now, and you could spend days circling toys, cloths, candies and all kinds of other stuff you wanted for Christmas. It didn’t mean you got it but it was a wishbook and parents would have an idea about what you wanted for Christmas.

The Wishbook hasn’t been around for years but SEARS and their other store Kmart was. Now, we in Albuquerque don’t have either.

Sears and Kmart were the places you had to get certain things because no one else had them. Now they are gone. Sure, you can now get those things at other stores or online. But the big question is why couldn’t they survive? Were they run by people who just didn’t have a clue about things changing in retail? Were those people in power too arrogant to ask for help? Is this a lesson for all of us? It just makes me sad!
