I just saw an ad about the “Martin Luther King Sale!” Did Martin Luther King really want a furniture sale or any other sale? I think those who have MLK Sales have missed the point. I also think Washington, Lincoln, and dead president sales are kinda tacky. Wasn’t there more to their lives than sales? Are kids going to think the only important thing about them are sales? There is more to life than retail.
Trump has decided that he can change the wall from concrete to steel. I bet those contractors who designed a concrete wall section are scratching their heads now! I think we have to go further. What about popcorn? It would attract both immigrants and endangered animals to eat. It is bio-degradable.
Other interesting substances for the wall: hard candy, rice, hot chile peppers, old tires, rock (really pretty), tumbleweed (you can get a bunch of it in the spring), charcoal, old cars (it could be a sculpture). Do you have an idea? Maybe use straws – they are on the bad list! You can’t use chocolate – it would melt.
